1st Shift | 5:30 AM until production is finished | 5 days per week
Days Off:

Your future belongs at the home of the Excellent Chicken ® . Bell & Evans is looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to join our Hatchery team as a Chick Room Attendant. In this role, you'll help care for newly hatched chicks and prepare them for transport to our broiler farms. This is a fast-paced, hands-on position that plays an important role in the beginning of our production process. What You'll Do Move chick trolleys from hatchers to the chick storage area. Push and pull trolleys throughout the hatchery. Inspect chicks and remove cull chicks according to company standards. Place healthy chicks back into baskets for transport. Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe. Follow all food safety, animal welfare, and biosecurity procedures. Report any safety or quality concerns immediately. What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous manufacturing, agriculture, warehouse, or production experience is helpful, but not required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required. Dependable with strong attention to detail and the ability to work well in a team environment. Physical Requirements This is an active position that requires you to: Stand and walk for most of your shift. Push and pull chick trolleys throughout the day. Lift up to 20 pounds occasionally. Perform repetitive hand movements using both hands. Reach overhead when needed. Maintain good balance while working on wet or slippery floors. Work in a dusty environment due to chick fluff.
