We are known for chocolate, but we are really in the hospitality and experience business. Right now, we are looking for a serious, dependable person to join our team in a hands-on chocolate production role. This role is for someone who wants to learn how our products are made, help keep production moving, and grow into more responsibility over time. The right person will help us keep our cases full, our products consistent, and our shop ready for daily sales. What You'll Do... In this role, you will be trained to support and eventually take ownership of key production tasks.
Responsibilities may include:
Preparing chocolate products, dipped items, caramel apples, strawberries, truffles, and seasonal items Dipping, decorating, packaging, labeling, and restocking products Following recipes, checklists, and production standards Keeping the production area clean, organized, and food-safe Tracking what was made, what is low, and what needs to be made next Helping keep the shop ready for daily sales Supporting seasonal production during busy times Working with leadership to learn TRC's production systems and standards This is hands-on work. You will be standing, moving, working with food, following details, and helping produce products that clients see and buy every day. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is dependable, coachable, clean, organized, and serious about doing quality work. You do not need to already be a chocolatier. We can train the right person. But you do need to be the type of person who can follow instructions, care about details, move with purpose, and take pride in making things the right way. This role may be a good fit if you: Like working with your hands Care about presentation and details Can follow recipes and instructions Stay focused during repetitive tasks Like kitchen, bakery, prep, production, or creative food work Want to grow into more responsibility Take correction well Can work quickly without getting sloppy This role is not a good fit for someone who cuts corners, needs constant reminders, dislikes repetitive work, struggles with cleanliness, or gets defensive when corrected. Qualifications 1 Year Prior kitchen, bakery, food prep, production, retail food, or chocolate experience is required. 2+ years is helpful but not required Must be reliable and on time Must be able to stand for extended periods Must be comfortable working with food Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions Must be able to work during busy seasons, including holidays Food safety knowledge is a plus Leadership experience is a plus, but not required Growth Opportunities This role is being created because The Royal Chocolate needs a stronger production backbone. The right person may grow into a true Production Lead role with more ownership over daily production, product readiness, inventory needs, quality control, and training others. Production Lead title is not automatic. It is earned through consistency, quality, trust, and the ability to keep production moving without constant oversight. Benefits Hands-on training Growth path into a larger production role Opportunity to learn chocolate and confectionery production Small-team environment Employee discount Potential for more hours as responsibility grows How to Apply Please complete both steps. Step 1: Apply through Indeed. Step 2: Email us at with the subject line: Production Lead Trainee Application
