Part-Time Roaster & Coffee Production Specialist Pike Street Press Seattle, WA Job Details Part-time $26 - $30 an hour 10 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Paid sick time Qualifications Packing Manual packaging Attention to detail Food & beverage production Product demos Full Job Description We're a specialty coffee shop looking for a reliable, detail-oriented person to run our Bellwether electric roaster and help build our in-house roasting program. This is a hands-on role with real ownership over quality, consistency, and day-to-day production. What you'll do: Roast 1-2 days per week on our Bellwether (single origins, espresso blend, and cold brew) Package, label, and prepare retail bags to high quality standards Order green coffee, manage inventory, and keep production stocked Fulfill and ship online orders and manage customer subscriptions Cup and log every roast for quality control Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work area following basic sanitation and safety standards Occasionally support short in-shop roasting demos or classes What we're looking for: Previous roasting experience (Bellwether, drum, or production roasting preferred) Strong attention to detail and consistency Comfortable working independently and taking ownership Basic inventory and computer skills Understanding of food safety and cleanliness in a production environment Passion for great coffee
Schedule & Pay:
15-20 hours per week $26-30/hour depending on experience Flexible days — primarily one consistent roast day plus fulfillment and packaging time
Pay:
$26.00 - $30.00 per hour
