Job Description

JOB GOAL
To assist in providing safe transportation so that students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the district's curriculum and extracurricular program.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists the bus driver in maintaining good student conduct on the bus. Assists young or disabled students in getting on and off the bus. Assures that students get on and off the bus in an orderly fashion. Provides written records of violations of the student code to the Director of Transportation. Collects and turns over to the school secretary those personal items left on bus by students. Performs other related duties as required by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required or equivalent life experience required. Ability to lift average weights, bend, stoop, reach, pull and climb. Specialized skills in first aid and CPR preferred. Ability to obtain appropriate licensing to operate a vehicle in Arizona. Ability to work harmoniously with staff, students and community members.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Work year, salary and benefits as established by the Board.
EVALUATION
Performance of this job shall be evaluated by the Director of Transportation in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of classified personnel.
