Weekday morning and afternoon school routes Sky Transportation is hiring dependable and compassionate Student Transportation Aides to support the safe and respectful transportation of students to and from school and related programs. Transportation Aides work alongside the driver to assist students during boarding, transport, and drop-off. This role is especially important for students who may require additional support due to disabilities, medical needs, mobility needs, or behavioral support requirements. Responsibilities Assist students with safely boarding and exiting the vehicle Secure seat belts, harnesses, wheelchairs, and other mobility equipment as trained Maintain consistent supervision of students during transportation Support students with disabilities, special needs, medical requirements, or behavioral plans Use behavior support strategies in accordance with training and company procedures Monitor student condition and behavior and promptly report concerns Communicate clearly with drivers, dispatch, supervisors, and school staff as appropriate Maintain confidentiality of student and family information Follow all transportation safety procedures, company policies, and established protocols Participate in required training and complete required documentation Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent Ability to work effectively with children and adolescents Strong communication and interpersonal skills Patient, calm, and attentive approach when working with students Ability to pass required background checks, drug screening, and clearances Dependable attendance and punctuality Preferred Previous experience as a School Bus Aide, Bus Monitor, Student Transportation Aide, or similar role Experience working with students with disabilities or special needs Background in education, childcare, healthcare, human services, or a related field CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain Physical and Work Requirements Ability to assist students with mobility and safety needs Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move within a vehicle during assigned routes Ability to respond quickly and appropriately in emergency situations Ability to work morning and afternoon split shifts aligned with school schedules Why Work With Sky Transportation Consistent weekday schedule aligned with school calendars Paid training provided Meaningful work supporting students and families Professional, safety-focused team environment Opportunity to work directly with students who benefit from additional transportation support Work Environment This position is performed primarily inside company vehicles during active student transportation routes.
