Job Description

Bus Assistant (with potential to be day-to-day sub)
Duties:
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students during bus rides to and from school
  • Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus in an orderly manner
  • Maintain discipline and enforce bus rules to ensure a safe and respectful environment
  • Communicate with the bus driver and school staff regarding any issues or concerns
  • Provide support to students with special needs, including assisting with seatbelts, wheelchairs, or other accommodations
  • Educate students on proper bus behavior and safety procedures
Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
  • Patience and understanding when working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
  • Ability to enforce rules and maintain discipline while fostering a positive environment
  • Knowledge of emergency procedures and first aid is a plus This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of students during their bus rides.
