Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Bus Aide. This part-time position is based at the Bus Barn and involves assisting in the safe and efficient transportation of students. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a positive and secure environment on the bus, helping students with boarding and disembarking, and providing support to the bus driver. Responsibilities Assist students in boarding and disembarking the bus safely. Ensure that all students are seated and wearing seatbelts during transport. Monitor student behavior on the bus to maintain a safe and respectful environment. Communicate effectively with the bus driver regarding any concerns or issues that arise. Provide assistance to students with special needs as required. Perform routine safety checks of the bus before departure. Help maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the bus interior. Report any incidents or accidents to the appropriate authorities promptly. Attend training sessions and meetings as required. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience working with children or in a similar role is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations. Must pass a background check and drug screening. Ability to lift and assist students as necessary. Flexible schedule to accommodate morning and afternoon shifts. Valid driver's license is preferred but not required.
