Immediately Job Description Looking for a full time (30 +/- hours weekly) Bus Aide to assist bus drivers in maintaining safety and good student conduct with a positive experience for riders and driver. Proven ability to interact with special needs students, physically handicapped, autistic and behavior challenged students
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
• 1. Assists the bus driver in maintaining good student conduct on the bus 2. Assists young or disabled student in getting on and off the bus 3. Secures car seats, wheelchairs, and other articles that may cause injury 4. Assures that students get on and off the bus in an orderly fashion 5. Attend workshops dealing with student transportation as requested 6. Collects and turns over to the school secretary those personal items left on the bus by students 7. Performs such other duties that may be reasonably requested from time-to-time by the bus driver, Special Education Team/Coordinator, or Transportation Supervisor Special Knowledge /
Skills:
Will receive First Aid training within three months of employment; The ability to create and maintain positive relations with students, school personnel, parents, and citizens, and to collaborate with the appropriate stakeholders to maintain high quality of services. Education /
Certification:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. Diploma; Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and physical; Capable of lifting 60 pounds with no restrictions Compensation is based on experience
