Job Description
Thunder Bay Transportation is looking to fill a bus aide position. A bus aide is responsible for the safe transportation of children throughout the TBTA service area. An employee in this position may be called upon to perform any or all of the following essential duties:
- Ensures safe transportation of bus patrons
- Complies with all applicable safety requirements, laws, and regulations
- Communicates positively with bus patrons and driver
- Ensures appropriate, positive guidance with children
- Attends training and staff meetings as required. Qualifications for Employment
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to work with a wide variety of people including children that can be physically and mentally challenged
- Must present a neat and clean appearance at all times
- Ability to sit for long periods of time while aiding patrons on bus
- Negative results on pre-employment drug screen
- Satisfactory criminal history check
- High school diploma or GED
