Responsibilities Assist students with disabilities or special needs during transportation, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the bus ride. Support students in boarding and exiting the bus safely, following established safety procedures and protocols. Monitor student behavior on the bus and during school activities, implementing behavior management strategies to promote positive conduct. Communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and school staff to address concerns and provide updates on student well-being. Enforce school policies and procedures related to student safety, discipline, and conduct during transportation and school events. Support students with physical disabilities or special education needs by providing necessary assistance with mobility or daily activities. Respond promptly to emergencies or incidents using first aid skills and evacuation procedures when required. Qualifications Prior experience working with children or students with disabilities is highly preferred. Knowledge of behavior management techniques for students with special needs and conflict resolution skills. Valid certification in first aid and CPR; additional training in special education or conflict management is a plus. Familiarity with school policies, safety regulations, evacuation procedures, and transportation safety standards. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, teachers, and staff. Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while maintaining professionalism at all times. Physical ability to assist students with mobility challenges and perform safety-related duties throughout the day.
