Responsibilities Support the bus driver in supervising students during transit, ensuring they board and disembark safely. Communicate effectively with students, drivers, school staff, and parents to address concerns and relay important information. Maintain a safe environment by monitoring student conduct and intervening when necessary to prevent conflicts or unsafe behaviors. Provide basic first aid when needed, following established protocols to address minor injuries or health issues. Help with loading and unloading students, ensuring proper use of safety equipment such as seat belts or harnesses. Requirements Prior experience working with children or in childcare settings is preferred. Knowledge of special education needs and techniques for supporting students with disabilities. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents. Ability to manage conflict calmly and professionally while maintaining a positive attitude. Familiarity with behavior management strategies and classroom experience is advantageous. Certification in first aid or willingness to obtain it prior to employment; CPR certification is a plus.
