We are hiring for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year ! Looking for a rewarding job? Love working with children? Want to make a difference every day? Orange County Transit LLC is looking for caring, dependable School Bus Monitors to join our team at our Wappingers Falls location .

Pay & Schedule:

Starting Pay:

$18.00 per hour Minimum guaranteed: 5 hours per day/ 25 hours per week Monday-Friday AM & PM split shift Flexible schedules available

Responsibilities:

As a School Bus Monitor, you'll help provide a safe and positive transportation experience for students each day. Assisting students while boarding and exiting the school bus Supporting the school bus driver during transportation Working with children with special needs Helping maintain a safe, calm, and respectful environment on the bus Securing wheelchairs when required (training provided) Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older Ability to pass a drug screening, physical examination, and background check Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation Compassion and patience when working with children, especially students with special needs Ability to work an AM and PM split shift, Monday through Friday If you're passionate about helping children and creating a safe, supportive environment for students, we'd love to hear from you.
