Description Our Mission:
To Connect, Empower, and Transform the lives of Children & Families Love cooking, teamwork, and working with kids? Join us as a Cook and Bus Monitor at our Long Beach site! You'll prepare meals for our pre-K children from a pre-planned menu, including separate meals for children with food allergies. You'll also keep supplies stocked, do some grocery shopping, and maintain equipment and documentation. As Bus Monitor, you'll ride the bus with the Bus Driver, help children buckle and unbuckle, communicate with parents, sign children in and out using our agency software, and help move children between the bus and classroom. Other duties as assigned. This benefits-eligible position is 30 hours per week at $22.00/hour, Monday-Friday daytime hours during the school year.QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education:
High School Diploma or equivalentExperience :
Six months experience or education in food preparation/handling, batch cooking, and/or catering experience desired. Experience with Nutrition Care Plans and/or allergy sensitivities highly desired. •Bi-lingual highly desired.Ability to:
Work cooperatively with staff members, families and children from varying backgrounds. Maintain confidentiality of records and information Follow proper food preparation and handling guidelines Follow a premade menuCertifications and Other Requirements:
Valid Washington State Food Handlers Card - Must be obtained within 30 days of hire Valid First Aid and CPR card - EOCF will provide training if needed.
