The purpose of this position is to coordinate the development and implementation of assigned athletic programs, activities, and events. Job duties consist of varied program coordination duties. Successful performance in this position contributes to the efficient and effective delivery of leisure services to area residents. FLSA status is Non-Exempt.

PROGRAM ADMINISTRATION RESPONSIBILITIES
(30%) Develops and implements sports league game and practice schedules. Prepares registration forms and establishes deadlines. Promotes programs and registration events/deadlines. Collects documentation and fees. Coordinates the use of officials on playing fields.
EVENT RESPONSIBILITIES
(20%) Attends games to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Monitors concessions operations. Responds to and resolves questions, complaints, and concerns.
PURCHASING RESPONSIBILITIES
(10%) Maintains concession stand inventory; orders food and beverages. Purchases and maintains athletic equipment. Purchases chemicals used in the maintenance of the splash pad.
FACILITIES MAINTENANCE DUTIES
(10%) Maintains playing fields and equipment. Maintains splash pad. Reports maintenance and repair needs to supervisor.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
(10%) Trains and supervises part-time staff; participates in the hiring process. Schedules staff to ensure adequate coverage at athletic facilities, games, and events.
MARKETING DUTIES
(10%) Assists in the maintenance of various social media accounts. Installs banners. Distributes flyers in local schools.
OTHER RELATED DUTIES
(10%) Willing to drive a bus as needed or assigned. Assists other departments. Performs other duties as needed or assigned. B achelors' Degree in Recreation, Physical Education or a related field preferred. T wo (2) years' experience in parks and recreation systems. T wo (2) years' of supervisory experience. C PR and First Aid Certification required. M ust be twenty-one (21) years of age or older. The following requirements are normal for this classification.
