You'll manage a manageable caseload (no more than 60 students), delivering both direct therapy and conducting evaluations to support a diverse range of communication needs in a school setting.
Key Qualifications:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) Active Alabama ASHA Certification Alabama Educator SLP Certification (or eligibility to obtain; start allowed with credential pending) School-based SLP experience preferred, but strong clinical candidates encouraged Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide speech-language therapy services to elementary students onsite Conduct assessments and evaluations for referred students, maintaining compliance with state guidelines Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and other professionals Document student progress, maintain thorough records, and participate in meetings as required Work effectively with multidisciplinary school teams to create a positive impact on student outcomes Enjoy the stability of working onsite with a school year schedule, allowing for meaningful connections with students and colleagues.
