DESCRIPTION ABOUT THE ROLE
(Full Time) Tuesday to Saturday 8:00am to 4:30pm As an Activities Assistant at Belmont Village Senior Living, you will create engaging experiences that support connection, activity, and well being for our Assisted Living residents. You will help plan and lead activities while also taking on a key role in safely transporting residents to outings, appointments, and events. This role has a strong focus on driving, so being comfortable behind the wheel and committed to providing a safe and friendly ride is essential. No CDL is required. The ideal candidate is dependable, energetic, and compassionate, works well with others, and takes pride in creating a positive experience for residents both in the community and on the road.
YOUR TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Leading and teaching engaging activity programs with small groups or individual residing in our Independent and Assisted Living community Providing one-on-one engagement with new residents assisting with their successful transition into our community Maintaining bulletin boards as needed to effectively promote activities and events within the community Preparing materials and conducting relevant research to confidently lead engaging life-long learning activities that align with the Belmont Village standards for Whole Brain Fitness Assisting with tracking and trending of resident participation and maintaining compliance related documentation Assisting with planning and coordination for resident outings and events to include driving
QUALIFICATIONS
Associates Degree with coursework in Recreation Therapy, liberal arts, social sciences, education, theater, or related fields. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Minimum 1 year of experience successfully coordinating and leading group activities Ability to work the defined schedule for this position which may include weekends Strong creativity, communication, organization, and relationship-building abilities Must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English Demonstrated knowledge and use of technology in the workplace including MS Office suite Professional, pleasant and team oriented attitude Consistent and reliable attendance is essential for all Belmont Village employees to ensure the successful operation of the community Please note that the above Responsibilities and Qualifications provide a general overview of the primary duties for this role and the basic qualifications.
