Position Overview The Soccer Coach/Referee plays a key role in delivering the i9 Sports experience by leading fun, instructional practices, officiating games with fairness and confidence, and creating a positive environment for young athletes and their families. This role blends coaching, mentorship, and game management to ensure every child learns, grows, and enjoys the sport. Key Responsibilities Coaching & Player Development Lead age‑appropriate soccer drills, warm‑ups, and skill‑building activities. Teach fundamentals such as dribbling, passing, shooting, spacing, and teamwork. Encourage sportsmanship, confidence, and effort over competition. Game Officiating Referee games with consistency, fairness, and clear communication. Manage game flow, enforce rules, and ensure safety at all times. Provide quick, constructive feedback to players during gameplay. Safety & Program Standards Uphold all i9 Sports safety protocols and injury‑prevention guidelines. Maintain a positive, inclusive environment for players and families. Ensure equipment is set up properly and fields are safe for play. Parent & Participant Engagement Greet families, answer basic questions, and represent the i9 Sports mission. Support a smooth game‑day experience through professionalism and friendliness. Reinforce weekly sportsmanship values and the i9 Sports Code of Conduct. Team Collaboration Work closely with Site Coordinators and Program Directors to ensure efficient operations. Assist with setup, breakdown, and transitions between games. Provide feedback on player progress and program improvements. Qualifications Experience in soccer (playing, coaching, or officiating) preferred. Strong communication and leadership skills with a positive, energetic presence. Ability to manage groups of children in a fast‑paced environment. Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering an excellent family experience.
