Job Description

Summary:
This position requires working closely with Director of Assisted Living Activities, to ensure we are meeting resident's physical, mental, and emotional needs through activity programming. This is a Full-time position, Monday -
Friday Essential Functions:
Always protects the resident's individual rights, including the right to privacy and confidentiality. Plans, executes, and evaluates a diversified program of activities that are designed to meet the interests of the individual resident while maintaining cultural awareness and sensitivity. Assessment of each resident to determine their past and present interests, hobbies, social history, and lifestyle. Encourages and motivates residents to participate in the activities which may interest them and meet their needs. Creates and distributes any flyers, resident or family memos which are needed for special events. Decorates the facility for upcoming seasons and holidays. Volunteer recruitment, training, orientation, coordination, evaluation, and recognition within the facility. Purchasing/ordering supplies to be used in the activity department with Director's approval. Effectively communicates orally and written, the details and goals of the activity program with the Family Council, Director, Resident Assistants. Promotes family involvement in activities/outings. Plan for and/or drives and escorts appropriate outings. Involves the residents within the community by outing and service projects, and intergenerational programs. Attends community staff meetings Sets up for and cleans up from group activities. Complies with state regulations. Adheres to Nightingale Suites policies and procedures. And any other duties as assigned. Be on your feet for extended period of time. Lift up to 50 pounds. Walk long distances.
