Job Description

Under the general supervision of the Fitness and Wellness Coordinator, this position is responsible for assisting in the operations of the Apex Center Fitness area. Responsible for ensuring the daily maintenance of all strength, cardiovascular and fitness equipment is conducted. Maintenance includes cleaning of equipment and limited preventative maintenance. Assist in all setup/tear down of Fitness Special Events including SilverSneakers® events, Group Fitness events and workshops. In the absence of other hospitality services, responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary facility. These tasks could include trash removal, vacuum carpets, sweep, mop and dusting. Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor. Must be 15 years old. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. Ability to resolve conflicts professionally and effectively. Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, email, registration software). Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Ability to learn and enforce organizational policies and procedures. Previous customer service, guest services, reception, or recreation experience preferred.

Work may occur in environments with poor acoustics, distractions, or high activity levels Physical activities: Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
