The specific scheduled hours would be: Mondays 9:15am-3:45pm, Tuesdays 9:45am-3:00pm, Wednesdays 9:45 am-3:45 pm, Thursdays 9:15am-3:00pm, Fridays 9:15 am-3:00 pm. As a Resident Activities Assistant, you will be responsible for overseeing the events and activities our residents experience on a daily basis. The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal and communication skills, and has a compassionate, considerate personality. Responsibilities Facilitate daily resident activities such as low impact movement classes, arts and crafts, live music hours and trivia, all tailored to varied cognitive and physical abilities.
Prepare space and materials:
Gather supplies, arrange seating, clean up afterward and safely escort residents to and from activity areas.
Provide general outing support:
Accompany residents on off-site trips, ensuring their safety, comfort, and active participation. Promote resident engagement throughout the community.
Document daily participation:
Keep accurate attendance logs, note individual resident mood or behavioral changes and communicate to management team.
Foster positive relationships:
Spend one-on-one time with residents, listen to their personal stories, and create a warm, welcoming environment that boosts morale and reduces isolation. Qualifications Previous experience in a senior living setting desired Previous event or activity planning experience desired Compassionate, understanding personality Excellent communication skills Strong organizational and time management skills
