We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Recreation Assistant to join our team at Skyview Rehab and Nursing in Wallingford, Connecticut. As a Recreation Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning and implementing recreational activities that promote socialization, engagement, and overall well-being. About the
Role:
Recreation Assistant responsibilities include: Developing and leading recreational activities, such as arts and crafts, games, and outings, that cater to the diverse interests and abilities of our residents Collaborating with nursing staff and other department heads to ensure that recreational activities are aligned with individualized care plans Maintaining accurate records of recreational activities and resident participation Participating in inter-disciplinary team meetings to discuss resident needs and develop strategies for enhancing their quality of life Supporting the Recreation Director in planning and implementing special events and programs Other responsibilities: Maintaining a safe and clean environment for recreational activities Assisting with setup and cleanup of recreational activities Providing support with daily living activities, such as feeding, bathing, and dressing, as needed
