Job Description

Activities Assistant As an Activities Assistant you will be responsible for assisting the Activities Director in planning, organizing, and implementing a variety of recreational activities for our residents. You will play a vital role in creating a lively and engaging atmosphere that promotes physical, social, and emotional well-being among the residents.
Activities Assistant Key Responsibilities:
§ Assist with planning and conducting recreational activities that meet the needs and interests of the residents, including games, music, crafts, and other social events. § Engage with the residents to provide social support and promote positive relationships among them. § Encourage resident participation in activities and ensure that activities are accessible to all residents, regardless of ability. § Assist with setting up and cleaning up activity areas, as well as ensuring that all equipment and supplies are maintained in good condition. § Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required. § Maintain accurate records of resident participation in activities. § Other duties as assigned by the Activities Director.
Activities Assistant Qualifications:
§ High school diploma or equivalent required. § Experience working in a recreational or social setting with older adults preferred. § Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. § Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. § Ability to maintain a positive and cheerful attitude. § Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
