Join Our Team! We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dedicated Activities Assistant with an active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license to join our nursing home team in Florida. The ideal candidate will help create meaningful recreational, social, and therapeutic activities that enhance the quality of life for our residents while providing occasional hands-on resident support as needed. Responsibilities Assist in planning, organizing, and conducting daily activity programs for residents. Encourage resident participation in group and individual activities. Lead recreational, educational, social, and therapeutic activities. Transport residents to and from activity areas safely. Document resident participation and responses to activities. Assist with decorating and preparing for special events, holidays, and celebrations. Support residents with mobility and comfort during activities. Collaborate with the Activities Director and interdisciplinary care team. Observe and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, or cognitive conditions. Provide CNA support to residents as needed in accordance with facility policies.
Schedule:
This position is 9a-5p M-W-F and 11a-7p, every other Saturday and Sunday. Qualifications Active Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License required. High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, assisted living, or activities programming preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Compassionate, patient, and resident-focused attitude. Ability to work flexible schedules, including occasional weekends and holidays. Ability to lift, push, pull, and assist residents safely.
