Summer Camp Staff Position 2026 Job Description Our Capoeira academy is seeking dependable, energetic, and responsible individuals who enjoy working with children to join our team for 2026 Summer Camp . Our summer camp is a structured, active, and positive environment where children participate in Capoeira, martial arts, games, music, movement, cultural activities, team-building, and personal development. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with kids, can help maintain a safe and organized environment, and takes pride in creating a great experience for families. Schedule Summer Camp Dates:

June 1 through August 5, 2026

Camp Shifts:

Shifts may be scheduled between 7:45 AM and 6:00

PM Hours:

Part-time and full-day shifts may be available, up to 35 hours per week depending on camp needs Core ResponsibilitiesCamper Supervision & Safety Supervise campers throughout the day Help maintain a safe, structured, and respectful camp environment Ensure campers are accounted for during activities and transitions Support staff with group management and student behavior expectations Help campers follow academy rules and daily routines Camp Check-In & Check-Out Assist with camper arrival and dismissal Help with attendance tracking and pickup procedures Communicate with parents professionally when needed Ensure students are released only according to approved pickup procedures Daily Camp Support Assist with transitions between activities, including Capoeira class, games, lunch, snacks, crafts, and group activities Support instructors during camp activities and classes Help with activity setup and cleanup Assist with lunch and snack distribution Help keep campers engaged, active, and on schedule Facility Cleaning & Organization Help keep the academy clean, safe, and welcoming Sweep and organize training areas and common spaces Assist with restroom checks and basic cleaning Take out trash as needed Help reset the academy at the end of each camp day Requirements Experience working with children preferred Reliable and punctual Strong communication skills Must be fluent in spoken and written English Willing to complete a Level II background check Ability to help supervise children in an active camp environment Positive attitude and strong sense of responsibility Compensation Starting pay: $15.00 to $16.00 per hour Free or discounted tuition/program memberships for self and immediate family may be available This position requires reliability, professionalism, and a strong commitment to student safety and academy culture.
