Provides specialized knowledge about the history, terrain, ecology or wildlife for the tour. Manages transportation, equipment and provisions and assists with cooking.

Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift, POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for the planning and implementation of activities for nursing home residents. Designs programs to encourage socialization, provide entertainment, relaxation, and fulfillment, and improve daily living skills. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Working knowledge of therapeutic recreation/activities practice. Activity Director Certification preferred. Necessary hours of training to maintain current certifications/ (ACLS, BTLS, NALS, PALS, etc. Departmental Training Calendar compliance. Specific training for new or updated services/equipment relating to job requirements. Technical/Clinical skill competencies completed annually.
