Position Description:
1) Enhance Youth Sports Programming Participate in training related to youth sports instruction, program development, participant engagement, and recreation programming. Develop new indoor and outdoor youth sports programs based on participant interests and community needs. Gather participant feedback to inform program planning and development. Create instructional materials, activity guides, and program resources to support youth sports programming. Coordinate program logistics, including facility requests, equipment needs, and program preparation. 2) Develop and Implement Participant Recruitment Strategies Participate in training related to communication, marketing, and design software. Create promotional content that highlights youth sports and recreation opportunities. Design flyers, social media content, and other outreach materials for programs and special events. Participate in community events that promote Fairmount Community Center programming and AmeriCorps service. Engage with participants, families, volunteers, and community members to increase awareness of available programs. 3) Improve Communication Processes for Families and Staff Develop informational resources that support families and staff participating in youth sports programs. Create and update standardized program materials, instructional guides, and training resources for youth sports offerings. Organize program information to promote consistency and improve communication across programs. 4) Support and Expand Fairmount Community Center Programming Develop innovative recreation and sports programming that responds to community interests and participant needs. Create proposals for new programs that encourage participation and expand recreational opportunities. Coordinate program preparation, including materials, facilities, and volunteer needs. Facilitate approved recreation and sports programs. Gather participant feedback and develop recommendations to strengthen future programming.
