Qualifications:
Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills Ability to follow written and oral instructions Completes assignments timely, completely and accuratelyEssential Functions:
Assist Activity Director in implementing programs of individual and group activities based on residents' needs. Document all interaction with resident and/or family in the assessment, care plan and progress notes as required by federal and state requirements. Assist Activity Director in planning and conducting activity programs to assist residents return to the community. Assist Activity Director in planning and implementing evening and weekend functions as necessary. Assist in scheduling and supervising volunteers. Assist in implementing community events related to residents' interests. Assist in scheduling and implementing room visits and in-room activities for residents unable to leave their rooms. Schedule and implement indoor and outdoor activity programs. Maintain records of participation in activities and resident response or lack of response to activities. Prepare materials and equipment for activities and maintain an adequate supply of materials to implement programs and report to Director. Deliver personal mail to residents; read upon request or as appropriate. Interact with residents in accordance with resident's rights and other regulations and facility policies. Observe infection control procedures related to the Activity Program.Delegation of Authority:
Authority is delegated to the individual in this position to: Assist the activity director in implementing an activity program to meet each resident's needs. Maintain the resources needed for each resident's activity needs. Assist the Activity Director with required record keeping.Position reports to:
