•$17 an hour 13 hours ago Qualifications English First Aid Certification Weight training Safety standard operating procedures AED Certification Full Job Description Summary The Fitness Center Attendant will process memberships, open, close and supervise the facility, oversee daily deposits, and assist fitness center and park district patrons. The Fitness Center Attendant is responsible for performing the essential functions as outlined in this analysis. The Fitness Center Attendant is a part-time, non-exempt employee. This is an at-will position. Immediate Supervisor Fitness & Facilities Coordinator Essential Functions Perform all job tasks within policies and procedures of the Park District's Personnel and Safety manuals. Attend staff meetings and complete in-service training sessions. Open/close the Charles R. Beggs Activity Center and the WINFIT Family Fitness Center Sell fitness center memberships, services, and merchandise. Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner. Perform Daily WINFIT Operations (i.e. entering memberships into RecPro, entering transactions into register, handling money, laundry, cleaning, etc.) Perform daily facility inspections. Maintain cleanliness and safety in the locker rooms and fitness center. Answer incoming telephone calls. Any other duties assigned. Marginal Functions Assist the registration staff by answering phones, assisting customers, and miscellaneous tasks as assigned. Assist with program registration. Assist members with fitness center equipment and provide demonstrations, as necessary. Schedule 4

•6:30 P.M. Pay Rate $15.00

•$17.00 per hour Qualifications At least 16 years of age. CPR, AED and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain this certification within one month of employment, is required. Psychological Considerations Must have the ability to deal with other people, sometimes under stressful situations. Resolve differences and problems that arise with participants and work together with employees. Must be mature and able to use good judgement. Physiological Considerations Must have the ability to lift materials up to 50 pounds. Must be able to use/demonstrate all weight and cardio equipment at the lowest exertion levels. Environmental Considerations All activities are performed indoors; these conditions include lighting, temperature, and noise. Cognitive Considerations Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English. Must be able to understand and follow instructions. Must possess good safety awareness and judgement. Must exhibit problem-solving ability and good judgement in keeping with the mission of the Park District.
