Activities Assistant Duties and Responsibilities:
Brainstorming ideas for activities Facilitating activities that bring joy and purpose to our residents' lives Working with families to assist them in having a fulfilling visit with their loved one Attending or leading activities to ensure that events go smoothly Working with vendors to provide food, music, supplies and services for activities as needed Soliciting feedback from participants to identify what worked well and what areas of improvement exist Keeping detailed records of activities to track participation rates
Activities Assistant Qualifications and Skills:
Creative thinking skills to continuously plan unique events Organizational skills to plan multiple events at once Interpersonal skills to interact positively with other staff members and activity participants Computer skills to use email, word processing, record keeping and spreadsheet software Problem-solving skills to overcome obstacles before and during activities Written communication skills to compile participant surveys and activity reports Preferred knowledge of CPR and basic first aid
