A Recreation or Activities Worker leads tours and vacation trips in outdoor or wilderness areas. Leads hiking, rafting, canoeing, climbing or diving activities for a group. Provides specialized knowledge about the history, terrain, ecology or wildlife for the tour. Manages transportation, equipment and provisions and assists with cooking.
Fulfill the overall ministry of Grace Adventures and implement the mission of summer camps and guest groups by running and maintaining a variety of programmed activities and activity sites to serve campers and guests.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Help run camp, guest group, and Community Worship programs with excellence Complete staff training and follow all camp policies Stay spiritually and physically fit to minister Become familiar with campus staff, facilities, and grounds
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain a vital, growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ Obey and enforce all camp rules and policies Run activity sites according to Grace procedures including (but not limited to):
Target Sports:
Slingshots, archery, BB guns, 22's, shotguns, laser tag
Waterfront:
Canoes & kayaks, swimming, blobbing, other water activities
High Adventure:
Climbing tower, ropes course, zip line, etc.
Outdoor activities:
Biking, group games, ga-ga ball Cooperatives and Teambuilding Campfires Assist with management and maintenance of activity sites and program areas Attend all staff meetings Host guests according to Grace Adventures 5 star service standards Assist with housekeeping: cleaning showers, bathrooms, and buildings to meet standards of excellence
Host Meals:
set-up, manage, and communicate with campers and guests Support Community Worship as assigned Other duties as assigned by your supervisor(s)

Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
Have a personal growing relationship with Jesus Christ Love for kids and adults and the ability to communicate with them Good health and stamina as required to implement a summer camp program. This will involve long hours and lifting at times. Ability to work in various weather climates and conditions. Willing and teachable attitude Team-based mindset Minimum age 17 years old Lifeguard Certification (not required, but desired, training available) High School Diploma or equivalent Valid Driver's License (preferred, but not required)
