We are currently looking for an energetic, compassionate, and dependable Activities Assistant to join our team! The Activities Assistant plays an important role in creating a welcoming, engaging, and enjoyable environment for our residents. This position works alongside the Activities Director and community leadership to help plan and carry out activities that encourage socialization, recreation, creativity, and overall quality of life. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with seniors, brings a positive attitude to work, and loves finding ways to make residents feel included, valued, and engaged. Responsibilities Assist with planning, preparing, and leading daily resident activities and special events Encourage residents to participate in activities based on their interests and abilities Help organize games, crafts, music, social events, holiday celebrations, exercise activities, outings, and other recreational programs Prepare activity areas and gather necessary supplies before programs and events Assist residents during activities as needed to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience Help maintain the community activity calendar and communicate upcoming events to residents Build positive relationships with residents and learn their individual interests and preferences Assist with decorating the community for holidays, celebrations, and special events Help coordinate community outings and resident events as needed Maintain activity supplies and help keep activity areas clean, organized, and welcoming Work collaboratively with the Activities Director, Administrator, caregivers, and other team members Assist with other duties as needed to support our residents and community Qualifications A positive, outgoing, and compassionate personality Genuine interest in working with seniors Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple activities and responsibilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Creative and willing to bring new ideas to the activities program Comfortable leading both small and larger group activities Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player Previous experience in senior living, healthcare, recreation, activities, childcare, hospitality, or a similar role is preferred but not required CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification as required What We're Looking For Our goal is to create positive experiences for our residents and their families every day.
