In this vital role, you will create engaging, meaningful activities that enhance the quality of life for residents at Serenity Hills Senior Living. Your enthusiasm and dedication will foster a lively, supportive atmosphere where residents feel valued, connected, and inspired to participate in enriching experiences. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on seniors' daily lives through creative programming and compassionate engagement.
Main Responsibilities:
Develops and implements activities aimed at our population. Promotes activities and events by engaging with residents throughout the community. Plans, facilitates, and leads group and individual activities such as arts, games, wellness sessions, and social hours. Creates a welcoming, inclusive, and enjoyable atmosphere for residents during all activities. Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance. Respectfully takes direction from the Activities Director. Manage activity schedules efficiently to ensure timely execution of planned events while adapting to residents' changing needs. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents during activities, encouraging social interaction and participation. Maintain accurate records of resident participation, preferences, and progress for reporting purposes. Ensure a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols during all activities and promptly addressing any hazards or concerns. Adapts activities to meet residents' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs. Encourages participation using enthusiasm, creativity, and positive communication. Ensures safety and follows health guidelines during all activities. Works collaboratively with team members, volunteers, and leadership.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Experience with activity planning preferred but not required. Empathy, patience, and compassion when working with seniors of varying abilities. Energetic, creative, and adaptable approach to activity planning. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening. Ability to remain calm, courteous, and solution-focused in unexpected situations. Cultural sensitivity and respect for diverse backgrounds and preferences. Reliable, organized, and committed to providing quality resident experiences. Basic first aid or safety training a plus. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic documentation and organizational skills. Ability to adapt activities to varying physical and cognitive ability levels.

From $18.00 per hour
