This person will help with promoting activities to inspire physical and mental stimulation as well as cognitive, spiritual, and social experiences for our residents.
Schedule:
Tuesday-Saturday 9:00am- 5:00pmPay:
$19.50- $20.00Shift:
Full Time Main Responsibilities:
Develops and implements activities aimed at our assisted living population. Promotes activities and events by engaging with residents throughout the community. Plans, facilitates, and leads group and individual activities such as arts, games, wellness sessions, and outings. Creates a welcoming, inclusive, and enjoyable atmosphere for residents during all activities. Adapts activities to meet residents' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs. Encourages participation using enthusiasm, creativity, and positive communication. Ensures safety and follows health guidelines during all activities. Works collaboratively with team members, volunteers, and leadership. Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance. Respectfully takes direction from the Director and Activities Coordinator.Qualifications:
Experience with activity planning preferred but not required. Empathy, patience, and compassion when working with seniors of varying abilities. Energetic, creative, and adaptable approach to activity planning. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening. Ability to remain calm, courteous, and solution-focused in unexpected situations. Cultural sensitivity and respect for diverse backgrounds and preferences. Reliable, organized, and committed to providing quality resident experiences. Basic first aid or safety training a plus. A brief cover letter explaining why you would be a good fit for this role is strongly encouraged. Language Requirement All team members must have the basic ability to use computer/smart phone applications for training and company system purposes. Employees must also be able to comprehend written documents such as work orders, safety rules, instructions, policies, and procedures. Also required is the ability of employees to speak and communicate effectively with clients, coworkers and management.
