This dual-role position combines safe, reliable transportation with hands-on support for our resident activities program — perfect for someone who loves connecting with older adults and takes pride in dependable, compassionate service. What you'll do Safely transport residents to medical appointments, shopping, banks, and social outings, completing daily vehicle safety checks along the way. You'll also help plan and lead engaging activities and events that promote physical, social, and mental well-being for our residents. What we're looking for Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL), clean driving record Experience working with older adults preferred Activities/programming experience a plus Patient, dependable, and a genuine team player Able to pass a background check and drug/alcohol screening Assisting ambulatory and non-ambulatory individuals to board and off-board vehicle Ensuring that passengers are safely seated inside the motor vehicle Securing residents' mobility devices such as walkers and wheelchairs Keeping a record of each bus trip and the residents who attended Documenting the mileage and time for each bus trip Performing preventive maintenance functions such as checking lights, maintaining fluid levels, checking tire pressure, etc. and notifying supervisory personnel of need for further service or repair, assisting maintenance director during downtimes with light maintenace duties. Basic knowledge of methods and techniques used to load, secure, and unload passengers from a motor vehicle Skill in the operation and basic maintenance of assigned motor vehicle Ability to find geographic locations Ability to follow oral/ written instructions and keep a record of activities Ability to lift, maneuver, and support materials of up to 80 pounds Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with residents and staff 25 years of age Six to 12 months of work experience operating, loading, and unloading a motor vehicle Any equivalent combination of acceptable training and experience which has provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities stated above Courtyard Village is an Artegan managed community.
