Job Description
Dedicated to Excellence, Committed to Service Graduate Assistant A Graduate Assistant is responsible to efficiently balance graduate class and work schedules. The Assistant fulfills all scheduled and assigned responsibilities, complies with all ministry standards, maintains accurate communications with Supervisors, and supervises student workers if assigned. Fulfill Scheduled Responsibilities Maintain flexibility to work between 20 and 28 hours per week, in addition to graduate classes. Work in various departments as needed, flexibly adjusting to different environments and positions. Be available to work evening and weekend shifts as needed. Ensure Compliance with Ministry Standards In all assigned jobs, ensure that all legal and ministry standards are followed. Adhere to any job-specific instructions or rules given by supervision. Maintain Communications Communicate as early as possible with the department Supervisor and the GA Coordinator regarding sick days, vacation, etc. Accurately maintain any work reports assigned by the department Supervisor. Supervise Student Workers If assigned, oversee and assist student workers in various tasks. Communicate instructions, monitor progress, and ensure that work is done quickly and accurately. FLSA Status - Scanning (Non-exempt) Education Required BS Work Experience Required Physical Requirements and Skills Flexible hours, including nights and weekends, Work assigned number of hours Ideal candidates must be born-again Christians and must be dedicated to training young people for serving God; and must desire to educate students based on biblical values and be committed to excellence as a Christian educator who glorifies Christ as the source of all wisdom and knowledge.
