Job Description
Activities Assistant (Full-Time) Ashton Commons Senior Living Make Every Day Meaningful. Ashton Commons Senior Living is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and creative Full-Time Activities Assistant to join our Life Enrichment team. If you enjoy working with seniors and have a passion for creating fun, engaging experiences that enrich the lives of others, we'd love to hear from you! Position Summary As an Activities Assistant, you'll help plan, organize, and lead a variety of recreational, social, educational, and wellness programs that encourage resident engagement and enhance quality of life. This is a rewarding opportunity to build meaningful relationships while making a positive impact every day. Responsibilities Assist in planning and implementing daily activities, special events, and outings for residents. Encourage resident participation in group and individual programs. Lead activities such as games, crafts, exercise classes, music, social gatherings, and holiday celebrations. Assist with decorating for seasonal events and community celebrations. Help transport residents to and from activities as needed. Build positive relationships with residents and their families. Maintain activity supplies and assist with program setup and cleanup. Document resident participation and communicate observations to the Life Enrichment Director. Follow all community policies and safety procedures. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience in senior living, recreation, activities, customer service, or a related field is preferred but not required. Friendly, compassionate, and enthusiastic personality. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Creative, organized, and dependable. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds. Some evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required for special events.
