Job Description
Part-Time Activity Aide Golden Crest Nursing Centre - Skilled Nursing Facility Golden Crest Nursing Centre is seeking an energetic, compassionate, and enthusiastic Part-Time Recreation Aide to join our Activities Department. If you enjoy working with older adults and want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents, we'd love to meet you! As a Recreation Aide, you'll help create engaging activities that promote socialization, independence, and an enhanced quality of life for our residents. Schedule Part-Time Weekdays and Every Other Weekend 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM Responsibilities Plan and implement engaging recreational activities that reflect residents' individual interests and abilities. Provide one-on-one and group activities throughout the facility. Encourage resident participation while promoting dignity, independence, and well-being. Set up and clean up activity areas and obtain supplies as needed. Accurately document resident attendance and participation. Escort residents safely to and from activities. Work independently while collaborating with the Activities team and other departments. Follow all facility policies and emergency procedures. Qualifications A positive attitude, creativity, and enthusiasm are essential. Previous experience working with seniors in a long-term care, skilled nursing, or assisted living setting is preferred. Experience working with residents living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia is highly preferred. Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. Basic computer skills. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
