Job Description

After School Counselor / Day Camp Counselor (Seasonal) St. Andrew's Parish Parks & Playground Commission is seeking energetic, dependable individuals who enjoy working with children to join our After School and Day Camp team. If you're enthusiastic, creative, and passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of youth, we'd love to hear from you!
Schedule After School Program:
Monday-Friday, 2:00 p.m.•6:00 p.m.
Day Camp:
7:30 a.m.•6:00 p.m. during school breaks (teacher workdays, Fall, Winter, and Spring Breaks) Hours vary based on program needs. Pay Starting at $17.00•$18.50 per hour, depending on experience and ability to drive agency vehicles What You'll Do Lead fun, age-appropriate games, crafts, sports, and other recreational activities Supervise children ages 5-12 in a safe and positive environment Assist with homework time and encourage positive behavior Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers Maintain clean, organized program areas Help create an engaging, welcoming environment where every child can thrive Qualifications Must be at least 15 years old Experience working with children is preferred CPR/First Aid/AED certification required (or ability to obtain) Darkness2Light•Stewards of Children certification required (Can provide in-house) Must be dependable, enthusiastic, and able to work well as part of a team Applicants who meet age and licensing requirements may have opportunities to drive agency vehicles If you're looking for a rewarding seasonal position where you can make a difference while having fun, apply today and join our team!
