POSITION SUMMARY
The Field Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of outdoor sports fields and facilities, ensuring that they are well-maintained, safe, and accessible to participants.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Supervise the use and maintenance of outdoor sports fields and facilities, including soccer fields, baseball diamonds, tennis courts, and other recreational areas. Ensure that facilities are clean, well-groomed, and equipped with necessary supplies and equipment. Coordinate field preparation activities, such as mowing, lining, and field setup, to ensure that fields are ready for use by scheduled programs, leagues, and events. Monitor field conditions and make adjustments as needed to optimize playing surfaces and safety. Maintain inventory and oversee the use and storage of sports equipment, including goals, nets, balls, and other supplies. Ensure that equipment is properly maintained, repaired, and replaced as needed to support safe and enjoyable recreational experiences. Implement safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and ensure the safety of participants, spectators, and staff using outdoor sports fields and facilities. Conduct regular inspection of facilities and equipment to identify hazards and address maintenance issues promptly. Collaborate with program coordinators, coaches, and staff to support the successful implementation of youth sports leagues, tournaments, and other programs. Provide logistical support, equipment assistance, and facility coordination to ensure that programs run smoothly and efficiently. Interact with participants, coaches, parents, and other stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner. Address inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and effectively to ensure positive experiences for all users of outdoor sports fields and facilities. Supervise and support seasonal staff, contractors, and volunteers involved in field maintenance and facility operations. Provide training, guidance, and direction to staff to ensure that tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with YMCA standards and policies. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum age of 16. Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and coordinate staff effectively. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Knowledge of sports field maintenance practices, equipment operation, and safety protocols. Minimum of 2 years' experience in facility management, recreation management, or a related field. Certifications required within 60 days of employment: CPR, First Aid, AED, Oxygen. Ability to complete the following within 30 days of hire: Child Abuse Prevention training; Bloodborne Pathogens and Sexual Harassment training. WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to perform all physical requirements of the position, including walking, standing, bending, reaching and lifting up to 50 lbs. at a time.
