Job Description

Under general supervision, the purpose of this job is to plan, coordinate, facilitate, implement and provide administrative support of programs for people of all ages and serve as a point of contact for customers regarding registration for programs, reservations of park and recreation facilities, and general inquiries.
Essential Functions:
The list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this classification. It is not necessarily descriptive of any one position in the class. Plans, organizes and leads a variety of recreational activities such as arts and crafts, athletics, and seasonal programs. Serves as a liaison to internal and/or external customers providing information, program service support and clarification of policies, processes, regulations and other related program information. Maintains records and prepares reports as directed including registration and daily attendance reports, supply requisitions, work order request forms for facilities maintenance, etc. Organizes and sets up facility rooms and equipment for different programs and classes. As assigned, performs a variety of routine clerical work such as collecting fees, filing, answering the telephone, and related work. Interacts professionally and respectfully with the public, coworkers and others in the course of daily work. Regular and timely attendance are required for this position. Performs related duties as directed when such duties are a logical and appropriate assignment to the position.
Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Recreation and Park Administration or related field, supplemented by two (2) years of related experience or possession of any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Must possess and maintain a valid State of Texas Driver's License.
