Berryville, VA, 22611 Job Description We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to join our team in Berryville, VA. The ideal candidate will support the planning and implementation of engaging activities that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents. Responsibilities Assist in organizing and leading recreational and social activities for residents. Encourage resident participation and foster a positive, inclusive environment. Support the Activities Director in planning special events and outings. Help set up and clean activity areas before and after events. Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity outcomes. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure activities meet resident needs and preferences. Assist residents with mobility and other needs during activities as required. Qualifications Previous experience as an activities assistant or in a similar role preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about working with seniors or individuals in care settings. Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
