Activity Assistant - Community Learning Center Program Roanoke City School District - 1.0 Roanoke, VA Job Details Part-time $16.25 an hour 4 hours ago Qualifications Working with students Experience working with elementary school students Working with youth Youth program management Full Job Description The Activity Assistant's responsibilities include direct supervision and tutorial assistance for students within the program. Position is for 15 to 20 hours per week: Elementary- 2:30pm to 5:00pm/5:30pm Secondary - 3:30pm to 6:00pm/6:30pm Roanoke City Public Schools is an urban school division serving a k-12 student population of 13,100 in 17 elementary schools, 5 middle schools, 2 senior high schools, Forest Park Academy, Noel C Taylor Learning Academy, and Roanoke Valley Governor's School. A staff of 2,100 is employed in the division. Some college is preferred. However, high school students with a minimum age of 16 may also apply. Successful applicants must have some experience in youth programming and demonstrate strong positive motivational skills.
