Our associates work to develop and implement activities and entertainment that will enrich the daily lives of our residents. Under the supervision of the Life Enrichment Director, the associates offer a variety of interesting events to engage and connect seniors with our team, each other, and the greater community. The right person for this role enjoys fostering relationships, helping others, and encouraging self-esteem and self-worth.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement activity programs in a manner which encourages resident participation. Ability to build rapport with residents in a socially appropriate manner. Log program attendance and participation data to be maintained in resident insights platform. Participates in frequent evaluation of activity program effectiveness with Director. Ability to verbally remind residents of upcoming events while assisting with transport to/from activities. Provide one-on-one activities to room-bound residents. Interact and communicate effectively with residents, family members, and guests. Possess basic music, art, and craft skills to assist with job-related projects (i.e. bulletin boards, newsletters, sing-along etc.) Observes and protects residents' rights including rights to confidentiality, privacy, and dignity. Practice safety procedures and comply with established reporting of accidents and injuries. Other tasks as requested by supervisor.
Required Qualifications:
Previous experience with activities programming in a senior living setting preferred but not required, flexible schedule, strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
