Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Ticket Sales Associate to join our team for upcoming baseball tournaments. This is a seasonal position, ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in sports event operations, customer service, and sales. As a Ticket Sales Associate, you will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and positive experience for attendees, helping to sell and manage tickets for our baseball events. The tournament season runs on weekends from April-October, must have weekend availability to apply. This is a great gig for college students, or adults looking for extra hours on the weekends!
Key Responsibilities:
Ticket Sales:
Assist in the sale of event wristbands. Provide customers with event information, pricing, and schedule details. Accurately process payments and provide change or receipts as necessary. Help ensure that all sales data is entered into the system accurately.
Customer Service:
Greet customers and assist with any questions or concerns related to ticketing or event details. Handle customer inquiries regarding ticket availability, prices, and policies. Address and resolve customer issues in a professional and timely manner to ensure satisfaction.
Event Support:
Monitor entrance points and ensure that tickets are validated for entry. Maintain a clean and organized ticket sales area.
Team Collaboration:
Work alongside other event staff to ensure a seamless event experience for all attendees.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Previous experience in ticket sales, retail, or customer service is a plus, but not required. Knowledge or interest in baseball and sports events is preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Comfortable with basic computer systems, point-of-sale (POS) software. We currently use Square for our POS. Ability to handle cash and process transactions accurately.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods. Must be able to lift and move light equipment (e.g., ticketing materials, signage).
Schedule & Compensation:
This is a seasonal, part-time position with somewhat flexible hours. The schedule is made based on your posted availability. Hourly wage - $16 Tournaments take place Friday-Sunday, along with Columbus Day. How to
