Schedule:
Primarily PM/Evening Shifts | Full-Time About the Position DoubleTree by Hilton Phoenix Chandler is looking for a hands-on Food & Beverage Manager to join our team. This position is ideal for an experienced hospitality professional who enjoys being actively involved in daily operations and leading a team in a fast-paced hotel environment. The Food & Beverage Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of our food and beverage outlets, with a strong focus on PM and evening operations . This is not a strictly administrative management position. The successful candidate will be comfortable working alongside servers and bartenders, assisting with service when needed, managing inventory and ordering, supporting banquet operations, and ensuring our guests receive excellent service. We are looking for someone who understands that successful food and beverage operations require both strong leadership and hands-on involvement . What You Will Do Oversee daily food and beverage operations, with a primary focus on PM/evening shifts. Lead, supervise, and support servers, bartenders, and other Food & Beverage team members. Create and manage employee schedules based on business levels, staffing needs, and hotel events. Step in to cover serving or bartending shifts when necessary and earn tips while performing those duties. Place food, beverage, beer, wine, liquor, and other F&B orders as needed. Monitor inventory levels and ensure products are properly stocked, organized, rotated, and stored. Conduct regular inventory counts and help control food, beverage, and operating costs. Receive deliveries and verify products against orders and invoices. Review, code, and submit invoices accurately and on time. Monitor product usage, waste, and shortages and communicate concerns to management. Assist with banquet and event operations, including setup, service, breakdown, and staffing. Help ensure banquet events are properly staffed and service runs smoothly. Monitor the quality and presentation of food and beverages. Ensure bar and dining areas are clean, organized, properly stocked, and ready for service. Ensure employees follow hotel standards, food safety requirements, responsible alcohol service practices, and company policies. Train and coach team members on service standards, procedures, and guest service. Address guest concerns professionally and work to resolve issues quickly. Communicate effectively with the General Manager, hotel leadership, kitchen team, front desk, sales, and other departments. Assist with opening and closing procedures and ensure proper cash-handling procedures are followed. Help identify opportunities to improve service, efficiency, sales, and overall guest satisfaction. Perform other Food & Beverage and hotel operational duties as needed. What We Are Looking For Previous Food & Beverage management or supervisory experience , preferably in a hotel, restaurant, bar, or banquet environment. Strong understanding of restaurant and bar operations. Experience ordering food and beverage products and managing inventory. Experience scheduling and supervising hourly employees. Ability and willingness to work alongside the team and cover serving or bartending shifts when necessary . Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly with inventory, ordering, and invoices. Experience with banquet or catering operations is highly preferred. Bartending and/or serving experience is strongly preferred. Cooking or kitchen experience is a plus. Knowledge of food safety and responsible alcohol service practices. Comfortable working primarily PM/evening shifts , including weekends and holidays as business needs require. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm and professional during busy periods. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and make sound decisions independently. Basic computer and math skills. Hotel experience is a plus, but we will consider strong restaurant or bar management candidates with the right operational experience.
Pay:
From $24.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 30.0 per week
