Assistant Manager Job Responsibility The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, supervising team members, and maintaining operational standards. This position assists with employee development, scheduling, inventory management, and compliance with company policies while ensuring a positive guest and employee experience. The key responsibilities are listed below ; however, additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed. Ø Directly supervise restaurant staff in the absence of the Store Manager Ø Support daily restaurant operations and team supervision Ø Maintain customer service and operational standards Ø Assist with employee training, scheduling, and performance management Ø Support inventory and supply ordering, control, food safety, and company policy compliance Ø Respond to operational needs and assist the management team as necessary Ø Maintain flexibility by working weekdays, weekends, and holidays based on business needs Skills and qualifications The Assistant Manager candidate should have the following skills and qualifications to fulfill the role: Ø Previous restaurant experience Ø Management or supervisory experience for 1-2 years Ø Customer service skills Ø Food safety training Ø Computer skills Ø Financial literacy Ø Inventory control skills Ø Knowledge of food service management software Ø Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Experience Requirements The Assistant Manager typically needs previous experience in the food service industry, whether it's as a Server, Bartender or Chef. This helps them understand how restaurants work and feel prepared for the unique challenges they may face. The Assistant Manager candidates should have 1-2 years of supervisory experience, particularly in the hospitality industry. Education and Training Requirements There are no minimum educational requirements for the Assistant Manager position. An associate or bachelor's degree in restaurant management or hospitality management is recommended since it can help them to handle complex tasks easily. Certifications such as Food Handler Manager, RBS, or other relevant certifications are preferred. Culinary arts education or related experience is considered a plus, as it may provide a deeper understanding of kitchen operations.

Compensation:

$30.00 ~ 34.99 (
