Up to $91,000 annually About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to join the leadership team of one of San Diego's most recognized high-volume fine dining steakhouses. This location completed 2025 with nearly $28 million in sales and remains extremely busy throughout the week. The pace is demanding, the expectations are high, and the details matter during every service. We are looking for a manager who is energized by significant volume, thrives in controlled chaos, and understands how to lead with professionalism, urgency, and consistency. The right candidate will already have a strong foundation in fine dining operations that our experienced leadership team can continue to build upon. Position Overview The Restaurant Manager helps lead daily front-of-house operations while protecting the service standards, professionalism, and pace expected within an extremely busy fine dining environment. This is a highly visible floor leadership role. The manager will support service execution, coach and develop team members, maintain accountability, assist with guest recovery, and ensure the restaurant consistently delivers an exceptional dining experience. The right candidate will not be intimidated by volume. They will be motivated by it. What We Need We need a leader with significant volume experience in a fine dining environment. Fine dining experience is required, and steakhouse experience is highly preferred. We need someone with a polished presentation, strong leadership presence, and the ability to remain composed and effective while managing multiple priorities. We are looking for a candidate who loves restaurant operations, enjoys being present on the floor, and leads from the front. The successful candidate will be coachable, eager to learn, and excited by the opportunity to work alongside accomplished restaurant leaders who expect excellence. Key Responsibilities Floor and Service Leadership Lead daily service execution with a strong and visible presence on the floor Maintain polished, organized, and consistent front-of-house operations Coordinate dining room flow, pacing, communication, and shift execution Maintain urgency during peak service periods without sacrificing hospitality Ensure service, appearance, cleanliness, and presentation standards are consistently upheld Team Leadership and Development Coach, train, and develop front-of-house team members Set clear performance expectations and hold the team accountable Provide timely feedback and support continuous improvement Help build a professional, energetic, and high-performing service culture Lead by example through composure, preparation, and attention to detail Guest Experience Create exceptional and memorable guest experiences Handle guest feedback and service recovery with professionalism and confidence Anticipate guest needs and support the team in delivering elevated hospitality Protect the restaurant's reputation through thoughtful and timely problem resolution Operational Support Partner with senior leadership to support restaurant goals and service standards Assist with shift planning, staffing, opening, and closing responsibilities Support labor management, cost awareness, and operational efficiency Communicate clearly across front-of-house, culinary, and leadership teams Help ensure consistent execution in an environment that is extremely busy at all times Ideal Candidate Profile Fine dining restaurant management experience required Steakhouse experience highly preferred Proven success leading high-volume restaurant operations Strong floor leadership and service execution experience Highly professional and polished presentation Excellent communication, coaching, and guest recovery skills High energy with a genuine passion for restaurant operations Ability to remain calm and decisive during demanding service periods Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent execution Desire to learn from experienced leaders and continue growing professionally Schedule Expectations This position requires flexibility and a genuine commitment to restaurant leadership. Managers will work a variety of shifts based on the needs of the business, including weekends, closing shifts, and late nights.
