The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of restaurant management experience and is comfortable working both as a manager and as a skilled sushi chef. This is a hands-on leadership position. You will be responsible for managing a team of approximately 10 employees while maintaining high standards for food quality, customer service, and restaurant operations. [ Essential Duties ] Manage, train, and support a team of approximately 10 staff members Oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure smooth service Work hands-on as a sushi chef and assist with food preparation and sushi production Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and portion standards Provide technical training and guidance to kitchen and sushi staff Conduct quality control (QC) and ensure company standards are consistently followed Provide excellent customer service and respond professionally to customer needs Monitor staff performance and provide coaching when necessary Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Assist with inventory, food preparation, and other restaurant operations as needed Lead by example and actively participate in day-to-day restaurant operations ​​​​​​​[ Working Hours / Working style ​​​​​​​]

TBA:

8 hours a day On-site ​​​​​​​[ Working Location ​​​​​​​] ​​​​​​​Emeryville, CA ​​​​​​​[ Salary / Benefit ​​​​​​​] $25-27/hr+TIPS ​​​​​​​[ Holidays ​​​​​​​] ​​​​​​​2 days off per week ​​​​​​​

•One weekend day off: Saturday or Sunday

•​​​​​​​[ Qualifications ​​​​​​​] At least 2 years of restaurant management experience required Professional sushi-making experience required Strong hands-on chef skills and willingness to work on the sushi line Previous experience managing and training restaurant staff Strong communication, leadership, and customer service skills Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality Japanese language skills are not required Must be reliable, responsible, and able to lead a team effectively

Pay:

$52,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
