We are seeking an experienced, people-focused General Manager who is passionate about developing teams, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and driving operational excellence. What You'll Do The General Manager oversees all aspects of restaurant operations, including: Lead, coach, and develop management and hourly team members. Deliver an outstanding guest experience every day. Drive sales, profitability, and operational performance. Manage labor, food costs, inventory, budgets, and financial results. Review and manage restaurant profit and loss statements. Recruit, hire, train, and retain high-performing teams. Maintain company standards for food quality, cleanliness, safety, and hospitality. Ensure compliance with California wage-and-hour requirements, food-safety regulations, alcohol-service requirements, and company policies. Ensure employee schedules, timekeeping records, meal periods, and rest periods are properly managed. Partner with Operations Leadership, Human Resources, and Payroll. Foster a positive, respectful, inclusive, and accountable workplace culture. Respond appropriately to workplace injuries, employee concerns, and operational emergencies. What We're Looking For At least three years of General Manager or senior restaurant leadership experience. Full-service restaurant management experience preferred. Strong leadership, coaching, and team-development skills. Experience managing P&L statements, labor costs, food costs, inventory, and budgets. Working knowledge of California restaurant employment practices. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred but not required. Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and as operationally necessary. Proficiency with restaurant POS and scheduling systems; experience with Toast and Sling is preferred. Required Certifications Food Handlers California Responsible Beverage Service certification, or ability to obtain it within the legally required period. California requires alcohol servers and managers who oversee alcohol servers to complete the applicable RBS certification process. The posted pay range represents the compensation Rodrigo's Mexican Grill reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation within the range will depend on relevant experience, qualifications, skills, and business considerations. Physical and Work Requirements This position operates in a fast-paced restaurant environment and generally requires prolonged standing and walking, bending, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to perform the position's essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
