Job Description

Looking for an exciting opportunity to make an impact? Do you enjoy helping others? If so, this may be the position for you! The Crowne Plaza is a seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the hotel and represents the company with all guests, clients, associates, and owners. The General Manager is responsible for consistently delivering results that contribute to the mission and overall success of the hotel by accomplishing performance objectives focused on driving revenue, controlling cost, providing guest and associate satisfaction and delivering product and service quality.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Direct the total operation of the hotel to maintain established cost and quality standards Consistently delivering results that contribute to the mission and overall success of the hotel by accomplishing performance objectives focused on business revenues, guest and associate satisfaction Develops and updates the hotel business plan and monitors financial performance Self-starter with a proven track record of meeting budgets, an understanding of P & L statements, and cost/inventory control Regular ongoing monitoring of staff to ensure the adherence to pre-established policies and procedures, a delegation of duties, property inspections, willingness and ability to engage in effective communication with guests, corporate clients, and ownership Executes marketing, sales, and operational activities, producing results that meet or exceed the hotel goals Walk the property daily and address any concerns with Department Managers Perform other duties as required by ownership.
Job Requirements:
Ability to deal with management, associates, guests, and the general public in a courteous, tactful, and patient manner. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy, and demanding work environment. Analytical a thinker with an understanding of business intelligence tools, STR reports, and financial statements (P&L, General ledger, cash flow, AR/AP, etc.). including the ability to communicate results. Ability to work as a team player with all levels of the hotel staff. Excellent guest relation skills. Strong computer skills - proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Successful track record in driving GSS scores Good management skills. Practice safety standards at all times.
Experience:
A minimum of 2+ years as a General Manager in a branded hotel. Full-Service General Manager Experience is preferred. General Manager candidates must possess a thorough knowledge of the hospitality industry, have a strong financial background, sound administrative skills, well-developed management skills, and have demonstrated the ability to effectively lead. Knowledge of Food and Beverage. In addition, understanding food and beverage quality while maintaining prime cost accountability. Knowledge of the Opera PMS system (preferred)
